EspoCRM hosting requirements here come down to one choice, the server size. The template brings the app, the job daemon, MySQL and HTTPS. We recommend 8 GB, because EspoCRM counts as a heavy workload and an 8 GB server still leaves room beside it.
No compose file, no cron line, no install wizard.
Launch opens the EspoCRM template in the console with the size filled in. Choose where it runs, set an administrator password of at least eight characters and confirm. The template deploys in about twelve minutes, the database install included.
Sign in with the password you set. The username is admin unless you chose another; the console shows both when the deploy finishes. They were written in before EspoCRM first started, so there is no default login to change.
In Administration, enter your SMTP details so invitations and password resets send. Then add users or import contacts from a CSV file.
EspoCRM hosting here is billed by the server, never by the seat. EspoCRM itself is open source and the template adds no fee. A European 8 GB server is $0.03/hr, about $23 a month, billed hourly against prepaid credits.

With a card on file or a past top-up, your CRM keeps running for 5 days after the balance reaches zero. Then it is stopped and kept for 24 hours before it is deleted; a top-up in that time restarts it. We email you when the balance reaches zero and again when it stops. Welcome-credit-only servers are deleted at zero.

EspoCRM Cloud's Basic plan is $15 per user a month with a three-user minimum, so the smallest bill is $45. Enterprise is $25 per user with five at least. Both are billed for six months or a year. Self hosted, EspoCRM is free at any headcount.

For most teams, yes, because it is lighter to run. EspoCRM ships an official Docker image; SuiteCRM ships none. Its workflows, emails and schedulers do not run until you set up a cron job yourself. We compared eight open source CRMs on what each one needs underneath it. SuiteCRM earns the extra work only if you need its built-in cases and campaigns.
You choose it yourself when you deploy. The console shows the login again once the deploy finishes; the username is admin unless you chose another. Both are written in before EspoCRM first starts, so it never comes up on a default login and there is no install wizard. If the password cannot be delivered, the deploy stops rather than starting open.
Yes. Every deployment gets its own HTTPS address first. To use a domain you own, point an A record at the server, then add the domain from the project in the console; the certificate is issued and renewed for you. EspoCRM's site URL follows the live domain, so links in its emails point there.
